For 2013 and later models, remove the master cylinder, and it might also be necessary to remove the hydraulic lines from the master cylinder to the ABS Hydraulic Control Unit. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the power brake booster, then remove the brake light switch and detach the pushrod from the top of the brake pedal, noting that on 2008 and later models, the clevis locking pin must be discarded and replaced with a new one. Remove the nuts attaching the booster to the firewall, detach the power brake booster from the firewall, and carefully lift the booster unit away from the firewall and out of the engine compartment.
