How to access and check the plunger-type switch for the interior lights in a door frame on 1994 Mazda RX-7?

A plunger-type switch is installed in each door frame and when the door is opened it switches on the interior dome light. Take the screws out of the switch housing and detach the assembly, inspecting the wire. Install either the original or a new gasket, screws and check.
