Unplug the negative battery, and loosen the steering column cover and steering wheel. In models that are 1989 to 1995, verify continuity of the ignition switch. In case defective, unscrew it off the column. In models made since 1996, remove covers, disconnect wiring and change ignition switch. Install new switch and scheme the bolts.
