How to properly remove and install a ball joint on 1998 Mazda Protege?

Unscrew the lug nuts of the wheel, jack the vehicle up and place it on jackstands and remove the wheel. Install the pinch bolt and nut into the steering knuckle and then pry the control arm ball joint out of it. Install the new ball joint and tighten the required bolts and re-fit the wheel.
