2003 Mazda Protege Instrument Cluster Parts and Q&A
Q: How to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the instrument cluster on 2003 Mazda Protege?
A: Unplug the cable of the negative battery. In older models, take away the steering wheel and in newer models, it should be lowered and the steering column covers should be removed. Unscrew the instrument cluster bezel, and delete retaining screws, unconnect the speedometer cable. Apply lubricant to eliminate noises, and unscrew connectors and pull out the cluster.
