How to remove and install the intake manifold on 2003 Mazda Protege?

In order to disassemble the intake manifold disconnect the battery and empty the cooling system. Take off air intake hose, and pull off cables and hoses off the manifold. Eliminate the air intake plenum, throttle body and fuel rail. Wipe the mating surfaces, fit new gaskets and tighten the bolts. Install, check and road test the vehicle.
