How to remove and install the transfer case on 2008 Mazda Tribute?

For four-cylinder models, loosen front lug nuts, raise and support vehicle, remove wheel, unbolt and suspend driveshaft, remove driveaxle, intermediate shaft, crossmember and transfer case mounts. V6 models require additional exhaust and accessory removal. Reinstall in reverse: fit new O-ring, torque fasteners, refill transfer case fluid and tighten lug nuts.
