How to replace the hood latch and hood release cable on 2014 Mazda MX-5 Miata?

In 2005 and model older than that, identify the position of the latch, remove the mounting bolts, and pull off the hood release cable. The order of installation is inversed. In 2006 and subsequent model, disconnect electrical lead, take off the latch assembly and vice versa. Change cable when necessary, and make it accordingly.
