The instrument panel cluster can be removed by disconnecting the negative battery cable and then removing the cluster. In the case of an analog instrument cluster, simply remove the front lens, printed circuit, and plate, remove the retaining bolts, and then remove the instruments out of the cluster, and installation is the opposite. In the case of an electronic instrument panel, the bulbs, sockets and retaining screws are removed in order to extract the printed circuit boards in the meter case. Then pull off the retaining screws, and the front lens plate, and then the tachometer and the printed circuit assembly, and the display switch assembly, and the illumination control and knob assembly. Lastly, also take off the retaining screws and unplug the speedometer, the fuel and temperature meters off the case, which will be reinstalled in the same direction as it was removed.
