Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the fuel tank. Mark the position of the adjustment star wheel and nut for reinstallation to the same position, as moving them will affect the rear wheel toe in. Remove the lateral link-to-chassis crossmember retaining bolts, nuts, and bushings, and disconnect the stabilizer bar link if equipped. Remove the lateral links from the vehicle, followed by the parking brake bracket bolt. Remove the through bolts and lower the trailing link from the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal; install all bolts temporarily and then lower the vehicle weight onto the wheels before tightening to the specified torque. Have the rear wheel toe in checked by a dealer or properly equipped shop.
