The rear window mounted antenna is an integral component of the rear window and cannot be serviced separately. For the center roof antenna on 2008 and earlier models, carefully pry out the C-pillar trim and center trim from the side of the rear windshield, remove the rear seats, and the rear map light if equipped. Next, remove the plastic push pin fasteners around the trunk liner and take out the liner. Pull the rear section of the headliner down far enough to access the antenna, disconnect the electrical connectors, and remove the antenna mounting nut to take out the antenna, with installation being the reverse of removal. To remove the center roof antenna mast, unscrew it from the base, with installation also being the reverse. For the antenna amplifier, pry out the C-pillar trim and center trim from the side of the rear window, remove the rear map light if equipped, and pull down the rear section of the headliner to access the amplifier. Disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the mounting screws, and take out the amplifier, with installation being the reverse. The antenna cable consists of three cables: front, middle, and rear. The front cable connects to the middle cable at the base of the A-pillar, which runs up through the A-pillar along the roof edge and down to the C-pillar, connecting to the rear cable. The rear cable runs from the C-pillar back up to the roof and across to the antenna. Replacing any of these cables requires removing the A-pillar, B-pillar, C-pillar, roof trim, and headliner, a procedure recommended only for experienced do-it-yourselfers due to its difficulty.
