Mazda B2000 Blower Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to disassemble and reassemble a blower motor in a heater assembly on Mazda B2000?
    A:
Firstly, unscrew the heater assembly and disassemble the halves of the heater assembly removing the five screws. The next step is to loosen the fan retaining nut and gently tap on the same to remove the fan, followed by removing the fan and the fan retaining nut off the motor shaft. Then take off three screws that hold the motor-to-case assemblies, and unscrew the bullet connector off the resistor and ground connector. Turn the motor out of the case and the next thing is to take the motor and put it inside the case using some mild rotation. Install the motor by screwing the retaining screws and reattach the bullet connector and the ground wire. Install the fan on the shaft and attach it using the nut. Lastly, reconnect the halves of the heater, then insert the five retaining screws, then reinstall the heater to the trucks and ensure that the heater works.
