To change the door glass assembly of the 1972 to 1984 models, begin by removing the trim panel, followed by removing the window frame assembly, unscrewing the seven screws that hold the window frame assembly. Slide the door glass down, disconnect the regulator roller and arm with the glass, and tilt the glass a little so that it slides up and out of the door. Take out the tape in the door glass channel, unbolt the regulator and remove it and on installation; repeat all the steps that were used to remove the regulator with new tape in the channel and a waterproof sealer on the screws on the window frame. In models 1986 to 1989, do by taking off the door panel and removing carefully the weatherscreening to reuse. Place the glass to reach the mounting screws in a hole in the door frame and remove the screws, then the inner and the outer weatherstripping about the frame. Lift the glass guide mounting bolt, lift the glass up and out of the door and remove the mounting bolts so as to remove the regulator assembly out of the access hole. To install, the steps of removal should be reversed and the door glass should be properly adjusted to close.
