Mazda B2200 Turn Signal Lights Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to remove and install turn signal lights on Mazda B2200?
    A:
To remove and install front turn signal, parking, and side marker lights on pickups, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the lens mounting screws, pull off the lens, push in on the bulb, and twist it counterclockwise to remove it, with installation being the reverse. For the MPV, disconnect the battery ground cable, remove the grille side moldings by freeing the snap clips, remove the lens mounting screws, turn the socket counterclockwise to pull it out, push in on the bulb, and twist it counterclockwise to remove it, with installation being the reverse. In the Navajo, loosen the two mounting nuts to remove the parking/turn signal lamp assembly, loosen the one mounting screw to remove the side marker lamp housing, turn the socket(s) counterclockwise to remove the bulbs, and pull the bulb straight out of the socket, followed by installing the new bulb, securing the socket, and checking the operation of the lights. For rear combination lights on pickups, remove the lens mounting screws, pull off the lens, push in on the bulb, and twist it counterclockwise to remove it, with installation being the reverse. In the MPV, the process is similar, while in the Navajo, remove the two screws retaining the lamp assembly, pull it outward, twist the lamp sockets to remove them, and pull the bulb straight out, followed by installing the bulb, securing the socket, positioning the lens assembly, and checking the lights. For back up lights on the MPV, remove the lens mounting screws, pull the lens away, turn the socket counterclockwise to release it, push in on the bulb, and twist it to remove it, with installation being the reverse. The high mount brake light on the Navajo requires removing the screws, pulling the lamp away, disconnecting the wiring, twisting the socket to remove it, and pulling the bulb straight out, followed by installing the bulb, securing the socket, positioning the lens assembly, and checking the lights. For the dome light, remove the plastic cover, pull the bulb from the assembly, and reinstall in reverse order. The Navajo has a cargo light on the roof headliner, the MPV has one on the liftgate door, and the Cab Plus Pickup model has an additional passenger area lamp; to replace the bulbs, pry off the lens and pull out the bulb, then install the new bulb. For license plate lights on pickups, remove the lens mounting screws, pull off the lens, push in on the bulb, and twist it counterclockwise to remove it, with installation being the reverse. In the MPV, remove the lens mounting screws, pull down the assembly, separate the lens from the gasket, pull the bulb straight out, and reinstall in reverse order. For the Navajo, grasp the lamp socket from underneath, rotate it, pull it from the lens, remove the bulb, and reinstall in reverse order.
