Mazda CX-3 Control Arm
Mazda CX-3 Control Arm provides a strong road feel, which makes every turn of the steering wheel accurate and allows the wheels to move smoothly over ruts and potholes. The initial stamped steel examples were already being praised as very durable, but subsequent cast iron and lightweight aluminum models set the new standard, producing the subcompact crossover with a little more reflex without creating extra bulk. Since the arm attaches to the frame using vibration-absorbing rubber bushings and to the knuckle using ball joints, the arm isolates harsh shocks from the cabin to make long journeys comfortable and silent. This Control Arm design is compatible with all CX-3s manufactured between 2016 and the last model in 2021, front-wheel drive or torque-shuffling all-wheel drive, and its flexibility has been tested across the entire model range. Through its appropriate camber and caster angles, the component ensures the Skyactiv powertrain uses the energy to accelerate the vehicle rather than exhaust it through scraping, and, as a result, fuel consumption is lower, providing greater fuel economy in the real world; in sudden manoeuvres the component also boosts the handling of the car in unexpected events. The fact that CX-3 owners have the freedom to use one lower arm per wheel is good since it allows unsprung weight to be kept low, and half shafts can be fitted, features not typically seen in cheaper parts. Its combination of high-strength castings, corrosion-resistant coating and long-life bushings also provides the assembly with exceptional longevity compared to competitors; therefore, many drivers have no idea that it is silently busy under the floorpan.
