Removal of the front wiper motor: Disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove the wiper arm nut covers, wiper arm nuts and wiper arms. Then pull off the screw caps of cowl grilles, screws and cowl grille assembly, and, in place, the baffle. Create an alignment mark on the wiper motor bracket to identify the orientation of the wiper arm, take off the electrical connector and take off the wiper link on the wiper motor arm. Unscrew those three wiper motor mounting bolts, remove the wiper motor. Installation: To install, screw the wiper arm to the wiper motor with the nut and position it so that it fits into the previously made mark and torque the nut to 95-156 in. lbs. Attach the electrical connector and reattach the baffle which was removed and mount the cowl grille assembly with the three mounting screws and screw caps. Re-attach the negative battery cable, switch on the wiper motor to make it run and then switch off the wiper switch to adjust the automatic park position. Install the wiper arms, align them to the right height, and tighten the wiper arm nuts to 87-122 in. lbs. and then replace the wiper arm nut caps. With the rear wiper motor, the first step is to disconnect the negative battery cable and then you can remove the wiper arm cover, nut, wiper arm, followed by the seal cap and bushing, and lower trim on the rear hatch. Disconnect the electrical connector of the wiper motor, remove mounting bolts and pull out the motor. Installation Installing the wiper motor and fixing its mounting bolts, regress the mounting bolts to 61-87 in. lbs., reconnect the electrical connector, and fit the outer bushing and seal cap. Reconnect the negative battery cable, position the wiper motor shaft by flicking the rear wiper switch, fit the rear wiper arm, align it into position, torque the nut to 52-87 in. lbs., and fit the wiper arm cover and reinstall the rear hatch lower trim panel. Battery Cables, eliminate the wipers arm mounting nuts, the cowl grille, as well as the wiper arm assemblies, and unplug the wiper motor electrical connector. Take out the motor by removing the wiper frame and bolts, wiper frame and link, nut and wiper arm bell crank. To install, fit the wiper motor to the wiper frame and system, tighten the mounting bolts to 61-88 in. lbs, attach the wiper motor bell crank with lock washer and nut and reattach the wiper frame and system to the cowl, 12-14 ft. lbs. torquing the mounting bolts, replace the cowl grille, reconnect the negative battery cable, and test operation.
