How to remove and install the instrument cluster on Mazda MX-6?

Disconnect the battery negative cable and lower the adjustable steering wheel if equipped. Remove the screws from the cluster upper cover and meter hood, followed by the cluster retaining screws. Disconnect the speedometer cable, then pull the cluster out, disconnect the wiring, and remove the cluster along with any switch assemblies from the instrument panel. Installation is the reverse of removal.
