How to disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the Center Console on Mazda Protege?

Disconnect negative battery cable. To get to the rear console, use the screws and remove the console; on 1999 and 2000, the screws should be removed in front and rear because the console is made out of one piece. To take out the front console at the shift lever, firstly remove the ashtray and shift knob, and then remove the front console screws and then loosen the front console. Do not forget to disconnect electrical connectors. It is important to note that the models between 1990 and 1994 have two models of front consoles, one one-piece full console with an integrated drawer and two-piece small consoles with a tray slot. Installation is used in a retracted order.
