- Q: How to replace the door lock assembly on 1985 Mazda RX-7?A: Raise glass, remove trim. Pry water shield away, keeping bottom intact. Locate door lock at rear jam; note push-rod positions via access hole. Remove clips and disconnect rods to key cylinder, outside and inside handles, and lock button. Remove lock, replace outer bushing, reconnect, test, reseal shield and reinstall trim.
