How to remove and install the axle shaft and universal joints on 1990 Mazda MX-6?

In order to take out the axle shaft, lift up the vehicle and place it on jackstands. Take off the front wheels and splash shields and empty the transaxle. Secure the brake disc, loosen the hub nut and disassemble the different parts. Disengage the axle shaft carefully then support the CV joints, and make sure to install the vehicle properly (before lowering it).
