How to remove and install the parking brake cable on 1992 Mazda MPV?

Take out the adjusting nut and loosen the parking brake. Take away the back seat and carpets. Block in the wheels, lift the vehicle and put it on jackstands. Take out the rear brake shoes and the parking brake lever(s). Removal and reconnection of the parking brake cable/s is performed in reverse and the lever stroke is adjusted.
