  • Q: How to remove and install rack and pinions in the manual steering gear on 1993 Mazda B2200?
    A: In order to install/remove the rack and pinion, lift the front end on jack stands. Loosen the pinch bolt that connects the worm shaft to the steering shaft. Take out the cotter pin and nut holding the pitman arm to the center link; loosen with a ball-joint tool. Unbolt the rack and pinion; match mark the pitman arm and sector shaft, then remove these. Reinstall, checking torque requirements.
