How to access and remove the door lock and ignition lock cylinder mechanisms on 1997 Mazda MPV?

In order to reach the mechanisms of the doors, take off the door trim panel and plastic shield. Disconnect the operating rods with the latch, and take off the latch retaining screws and remove the latch assembly. To install, reverse the processes. Handle the lock cylinder by taking out the outside door handle and inversing the procedures.
