  • Q: How to remove and install the rear shock absorber assembly on 1998 Mazda Millenia?
    A: To remove and install the rear strut assembly, begin by taking off the side trim panels from the trunk or rear seat as needed. If the vehicle has an Automatic Adjusting Suspension system, disconnect the wiring and remove the cap, then loosen and take off the top mounting nuts from the strut mounting block assembly. Next, raise and securely support the vehicle before removing the rear wheels, allowing the suspension to drop as the weight is lifted. Unclip any brake line or wiring retainers as necessary and unbolt the bottom strut mount to remove the strut. For installation, follow the reverse order of removal. The overhaul procedures for the rear strut assembly are the same as those for the front strut.
