In order to change the alternator, you will need to unattach the negative battery cable, power steering line brace, and the EGR solenoid valve bracket and the electrical connector. Unscrew the alternator bolts, remove it out of the engine and make sure that the alternate is identical to the previous. Install in reverse sequence and test voltage of charging.
