In order to disassemble the exhaust manifold, loosen the battery cable and disconnect the oxygen sensor. Unscrew the heat shield and put in penetrating oil to the mounting bolts. Lift the vehicle, lose the exhaust pipe and lose the manifold off the cylinder theory. Take out the things that are broken and replace them with a new gasket. Check bolts and leaks.
