How to remove and install the valve cover on 2003 Mazda Protege?

In order to remove the valve cover, disconnect the negative battery cable and hose removal. In the case of SOHC, disconnect spark plug wires, timing belt cover bolts, and valve cover bolts. In DOHC, mark and take away spark plug cables. Wipe off and replace the valve cover using the sealant after which the bolts are tightened in order.
