How to remove and install the steering column on 2006 Mazda Tribute?

Park straight, disconnect negative battery, remove steering wheel; turn ignition to Lock to protect clockspring. Remove column covers, clockspring and connectors; remove shift cable if applicable. Mark U-joint relation, remove pinch bolt and fasteners, lower and pull out column. Reinstall in reverse, reconnect battery and let PCM relearn trims.
