2008 Mazda Tribute Crankshaft Position Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Mazda Tribute?
A: For earlier four-cylinder models disconnect the negative battery, remove the exhaust manifold, locate the CKP sensor near the flywheel, disconnect its connector, remove the mounting bolt and sensor. Reinstall in reverse and allow the PCM to relearn idle/fuel trims. For other models follow similar removal, TDC/alignment, and relearn/correction procedures.
