How to replace the knock sensor on 2008 Mazda Tribute?

In order to change the knock sensor, unscrew the negative battery, lift the car and remove the sensor. Take out the retaining bolt, unscrew the connector and change the sensor. Torque and re-install the bolt. In other models, it may be necessary to remove the intake manifold. Reattach the battery and resume idle and fuel trim learning of the PCM.
