How to remove and install the rear coil springs and shock absorber on 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata?

On earlier models (2005 and before) loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the car and place the car on jackstands. Take out the back wheels, loosen the bottom link, and take off the shock absorber. On 2006 and later models, repeat the same steps, but disconnection of the parking brakes cable and removal of the shock absorber. The opposite of removal is installation.
