To access the exterior lightbulbs on 2008 and earlier models, remove the battery air intake and the air filter housing air intake duct for the left
Headlight housing, and detach the coolant reservoir for the right headlight housing. For the front turn signal bulb, turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it, while for the parking light bulb, remove the high beam housing cover before turning the bulb holder counterclockwise. Pull the bulb straight out for replacement, and installation is the reverse of removal. For 2009 and later models, disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the inner fender mounting fasteners, and turn the bulb holder clockwise to remove it. The front side marker light bulbs require pulling back the inner fender and turning the bulb holder counterclockwise. The front side turn light assembly must be replaced entirely if it fails, and involves detaching the mirror glass and removing the side turn light. For fog light bulbs, raise the vehicle, remove the inner fender splash shield, disconnect the electrical connector, and turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it. The center high-mounted brake light bulb for 2008 and earlier models involves disconnecting the electrical connector and rotating the bulb holder counterclockwise, while for 2009 and later models, the housing must be pushed to disengage tabs. Taillight bulbs require removing the access panel or repositioning the trunk side trim panel, and the bulb socket is removed by rotating it counterclockwise. License plate light bulbs for 2008 and earlier models involve removing the trim panel and squeezing the housing tabs, while for 2009 and later models, the electrical connector must be disconnected before rotating the bulb holder. Interior lightbulbs include courtesy lights accessed by prying out the lens, the map light housing disengaged from clips, and the overhead light lens pried off. Cargo light bulbs require squeezing the lens ends to remove it before pulling the bulb straight out. Installation for all bulbs is the reverse of removal.
