Removing and installing the door lock To install and remove the door lock, begin by removing the regulator handle, arm rest and other parts. The trim panel and watershield should be removed next. Take off the bolts which attach the handle to the inner and remove the inner handle cylinder. The Zoom way is to completely lift the glass and remove the remote control rod of the lock. Then screw the door lock off by removing the screws and remove the door lock. Then take off a retainer which is the lock cylinder to the inner panel and pull out the lock cylinder. To install in reverse order of these steps.
