    In order to take out and install the component, first raise and support the front end on jackstands. First, matchmark and detach the driveshaft. Next, remove the wheels and brake calipers. Scale the Differential's rotational torque with an in. lbs. Make a note of the reading on the companion flange nut with a torque wrench. Remove the locknut and hold the companion flange from turning. Make use of a puller for the removal of the companion flange, and thereafter use the centre punch to deform the seal and pry it out of the bore. Place a bead of sealer around the outer edge of the new seal, then either drive it home with a seal driver or tap it in gently with a hammer. Finally, coat the lip of the seal with fresh gear oil. Lubricate the companion flange with chassis grease and install, followed by nut installation and tighten, ensuring to reach the previously measured rotational torque and do not exceed 130 ft. lbs. Reinstall your driveshaft, then replace any lost gear oil.
