In order to dismantle the wiper arms that are on the front, raise the cover (where applicable), take off the retaining nut, and loosen the arm and blade assembly out of the pivot shaft, and then lower the wiper blade out of the wiper arm. To install, fit the wiper blade on the wiper arm and switch the wiper ON to have the motor complete 3-4 cycles of the pivot shafts and then switch off. Install the arm and blade assembly such that the tip of the wiper blade is 0.79-1.18 in. (20-30mm) below the bottom of the windshield, and then install and tighten the retaining nut to 7-10 ft. lbs. (10-14Nm). Test the wipers by switching them on and off a few times and retorque the retaining nut by ensuring the windshield wiper arm is raised at right angles to the pivot shaft so as to ensure the splines are seated in place. In the case of the rear wiper arm, lift the cover, unscrew the retaining nut and remove the arm and blade assembly, then scrape the wiper blade off the wiper arm. Installation To install, screw in wiper blade on wiper arm, switch wiper ON, cycle motor 3-4 times and switch off. Install and secure the retaining nut by ensuring the tip of the wiper blade is 0.79-1.18 in. (20-30mm) under the bottom of the rear window and then attaching and tightening the arm and blade assembly.
