In the case of 2005 and previous models, the first step is to disconnect the negative battery cable followed by the air intake duct. Then, unconnection of the wiring connector at the fan motor, unbolt the left radiator fan shroud, lift the fan assembly out of the engine compartment prior to unbolt and removal of the right condenser fan assembly. When holding the fan blades, loosen the fan retaining nut and remove the fan off the fan motor, after which the fan motor off the fan shroud. To install it, do the reverse of the steps to remove it, with mounting bolts of the fan shroud and air intake duct being tightened. In 2006 and later models, you need to begin by unplugging the cable on the negative battery terminal followed by lifting the vehicle up and positioning it on jackstands to remove the engine compartment under-cover. Empty the engine coolant, disconnect the battery and the battery tray, and finally disconnect the battery cooling duct. The second step is to take out the air filter housing then the Powertrain Control Module and the cooling duct. The cooling reservoir should be removed, electrical connector on the fan motor removed, and, in case of an automatic transmission, the ATF cooler hose. Take out the cooling fan shroud and cooling fan motor as a complete unit and then as needed, take out the fan motor or fan of the cooling fan part. To install, reverse the order of removing.
