  In 2005 and earlier, the turn signal/hazard flasher unit was mounted on the lower left end of the instrument panel, which could be removed by removing the knee bolster trim panel. On 2006 and later, it is located on the rear of the switch panel on the left hand side of the instrument panel, which may need the knee bolster trim panel and the knee bolster removed in order to access it; otherwise, the switch panel will have to be removed together with other trim panels. The flasher unit should give a sound click when operating, a faulty turn signal bulb is probable when the flasher does not give a click when the turn signals fail on one side. To test the flasher relay, position the ignition switch to the on position and the turn signal switch in both directions and make sure that both front and rear turn signals are flashing, and the Hazard Warning Switch is actuated to ensure that both the front and rear turn signals are flashing. When only one of the two sides does not flash, look into the bulbs being burnt out; when both fail, it could be a blown Fuse, faulty flasser unit or bulb, faulty switch or an electrical connection. A quick test on the fuse box may tell the turn signal fuse has been blown and the wiring should be checked as a short before changing it. The replacement of the flasher will require one to dismount the flasher, then un-screw and remove the electrical connector, with the replacement component being exactly the same as the one removed, and then re-installing in reverse sequence.
