The engine mounts can be replaced with the engine/transaxle still in the vehicle by prying on the rubber mounts with a large screwdriver or bar to check for hardness, splits, or separation from the metal backing. Begin by disconnecting the negative cable from the battery, then raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands while supporting the engine with a jack. Next, remove the right front wheel and the inner fender shield for access, followed by the rubber access plug and bolt. In the engine compartment, remove the bolts and lift the torque stopper from the engine. From under the vehicle, remove the retaining nuts, then in the engine compartment, remove the retaining bolts and lift the mount from the engine. Installation is the reverse of removal.
