In order to take off the components, begin by removing the
Timing Belt covers, timing belt and crankshaft sprocket then the oil pan. Then loosen the engine mount plate/front cover bolts and un bolt the pickup tube assembly. It is best to take a screwdriver and puncture the gasket seal at the corner of the cover and remove it. Wipe the mating surface of the oil pump to remove any old gasket material. To install, apply petroleum jelly to the O-ring and insert it into the pump and put sealant on the pump housing and add engine oil on the lip of the oil seal. Install the pump and new gasket, and fit in the bolts and tighten them to the required torque. Install the pickup tube and support assembly with a new O-ring and be sure to tighten the bolts to the required level. Lastly, the oil pan, a new oil filter, and new oil pressure switch harness, the timing belt, covers and crankshaft sprocket should be installed.
