Ensure that the
Headlight switch is in off position and then open the hood and find the headlight bulb at the back of headlight set up. To 1994 and earlier years, dissociate electrical connector with bulb by squashing the tabs and removing the connector, and then rotate the retainer ring counterclockwise 1/eighth of a turn. In the case of 1997 and beyond models, take off the wire clip holding a bulb. unscrew the assembly of the headlight bulb directly out of the bulb housing making sure that the bulb is cool to the touch and pull the bulb out without twisting it. Dispose the old bulb using the protective cover and carton of the new bulb. Install the new headlight bulb with the flat part of the plastic base upwards, by pushing the glass portion in gently into the socket and positioning the grooves in the base of the bulb with the tabs in the socket. Insert the bulb into the socket with a strong force, and push the bulb retaining ring on the top of the plastic base. In 1997 and subsequent models, revert the clip behind the bulb; in 1994 and earlier models screw the retaining ring clockwise until solid contact is achieved. Lastly, insert the electrical connector into the bulb base in the rear, and force it into place, turn the headlights on, and test the system, making sure that the headlight aim is correct, and adjusting it, should there be the need to do so.
