Lift the front part of the vehicle and hold it with some stands and then take off the front wheel(s). Unscrew the four locking clips, plate stoppers, caliper, anti-rattle spring, and disc brake pads and make sure that the caliper assembly is not suspended by the flexible hose and risked to be damaged. Either loosen the caliper mounting bracket using two bolts on the inside surface, the topmost bolt is easily reachable whereas the bottom bolt is less accessible because of the steering drag link, a box end wrench and a screwdriver are required to unscrew the bottom bolt. Take off the dust cap at the terminus of the spindle, and then take off the split pin, nut lock, and adjusting nut. Gently draw the hub outwards pushing the washer and outer bearing to the spindle end and follow-up by pushing the hub assembly back and then remove the washer and bearing. Disassemble the hub assembly by removing the inboard bearing and grease seal of the hub assembly by pulling them off of the spindle. When the bearing outer race within the hub assembly is pitted or scratched it may be hammered and drifted out, however only when necessary. Repackage bearings with lithium-based grease, applying it to the bearings at the bigger diameter end, then press the inner bearing into the bearings, and replace the grease seal. Apply lithium grease to the hub cavity and then install the hub onto the spindle followed by pushing the outer bearing and washer into the hub. Slide the adjusting nut over the spindle tightening it until the hub binds, and then undo by a sixth turn to make the hub spin freely. Spin the hub assembly several times to fit the bearings and see whether there is any lateral movement and to tighten the adjusting nut a little further but without restricting the free movement of the hub. Install the nut lock and new split pin, tap the grease cap in place, and install the caliper mounting bracket with the screwdriver to access the bolts. Lastly, apply brakes pads, anti-rattle spring, caliper, stopper plates, and locking clips, and reattach the front wheel(s), bleed the brakes and lower the car to the ground to ensure that the brakes are functioning correctly and that the system is free of leaks.
