  For FWD GLC, remove engine before timing-chain work; if removed, rotate to TDC, drain fluids, remove cooling parts, shields, pulley and obstructing units. For RWD, fit an adjuster guide. Remove oil pan and rocker cover, unfasten head bolts, wire chain to cam, remove sprockets, inspect, reinstall in reverse, refill fluids.
