- Q:How to disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the Manual Transmission Extension Housing Seal on 1988 Mazda B2200?A:Usually the negative battery cable is disconnected and the vehicle raised, a drain pan placed under the extension housing and the area cleaned. The driveshaft is matchmarked and withdrawn and the extension housing seal is removed using the appropriate tooling and a new seal is lubricated and pressed in so that the seal's drain hole faces downwards. Reassemble in reverse order using marks.
