    In order to reach the clutch, take off the transmission. Take the release bearing and fork off, check pressure plate finger, and mark alignment. Slowly and diagonally loosen 6 pressure plate bolts and slide the plate and disc off, leaving the linings, flywheel and pressure plate surfaces devoid of any oil or grease.

    How to install the flywheel and counterweight on the eccentric shaft on 1988 Mazda RX-7?
    A:
    Apply engine oil to the rear housing oil seal, fit the key on the eccentric shaft, install the flywheel and apply sealing agent to the lockwasher. Use thread locking agent on the threads, install and tighten the nut. Bend the lockwasher and install the counterweight, aligning holes, key and ears.
