Shock Absorber Installation and Repair Tips for 1989 Mazda MX-6

  • Q:
How to remove and inspect the rear shock absorber on 1989 Mazda MX-6?
    A:
In order to reach the rear compartment, the rear panel and adjuster switch may be detached. Remove the upper strut to chassis nuts, lift the vehicle up and release the brake hose. Loose the strut-to-steering knuckle nuts and bolts and check into the strut itself. The re-assembling is then done in the reverse sequence with the right torque.
