Back Up Light Switch Installation and Repair Tips for 1992 Mazda B2200
Q:
How to remove and install the Back Up Light Switch on 1992 Mazda B2200?
A:
Wiring is disconnected and switch is unscrewed, retaining washer; switch is typically upper-left rear of transmission. When a Navajo model is used, the car has its negative battery disconnected, raised up, and the transmission placed in a gear that isn't R or N. Reinstallation, which reverses removal, is tightened to 8-12 ft-lbs (11-16 Nm).
