Steering Column Cover Installation and Repair Tips for 2005 Mazda 6

  • Q:
How to disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and remove the steering column covers on 2005 Mazda 6?
    A:
Disconnect the cable from the battery's negative terminal. Remove the fasteners from the lower steering column cover, separate the two covers, and disconnect the key illumination bulb holder. For 2009 models and later, remove the trim panel after the lower cover. Lift and remove the upper cover. Installation is the reverse.
