Equipments: spark plug socket, ratchet, extensions, gap gauge; preferred to use a torque wrench. Cool engine, check and replace new plugs, decoil, clean up, loosen plugs, anti-seize, hand start and torque.

    How to disconnect the ignition coil from the spark plug on 2007 Mazda 6?
    A:
    Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the upper engine cover by pulling up from both sides and lifting off the posts. On some engines remove the upper intake manifold. Disconnect the ignition coil connector, remove its mounting fastener, and pull the coil off the spark plug. Install in reverse.
