    Models 1999 to 2005 have the knock sensor on the right hand side of the engine block. Unscrew sensor, disconnect the negative battery cable, intake manifold support bracket and remove intake manifold support bracket. The sensor is located on the left side of models produced as of 2006. Removal and installation should be done similarly.
