In order to disassemble the distributor, strip the distributor and the mounting tab plate. Clamp it in a vise, take the screws out and record the locations of the advance springs. Take off all the retaining bolt, coil, and the vacuum diaphragm assembly. To assemble it, lubricate the shaft, put the parts in place, and reassemble everything.
